North County Fire & Rescue Protection District
On May 17, 2016, Keith Goldstein was sworn in as the new Fire Chief of North County Fire & Rescue Protection District, formerly known as Riverview Fire Protection District. Chief Goldstein brings with him 30 years of experience in North St. Louis County. Chief Goldstein previously served Black Jack Fire Protection District for the last 30 years, where he served as a Battalion Chief for the last 10. He also served as a Fire Service Instructor for the last 10 years at the St. Louis County Fire Academy. Chief Goldstein has a B.S. in Fire Science, from Columbia Southern University, as well as his Associates in Applied Science in Fire Protection Technology, from St. Louis County Community College. He has served on numerous fire district committees and participated in many outreach activities, which he plans to bring to the Riverview Fire Protection District area. His vision is for the community to see more interaction between the firefighters and citizens. Current plans include: delivering Christmas presents and meals to those in need, MDA Collections, Ice Creme Socials/Safety Awareness events, and partner with local schools for academic and attendance awards. |
